Hemp and Grain

Grain & flour sacks, hessian, scrubbed wood and laundered linen. Recycled, upcycled rustic elements are some of my favourite interior decorating items.

  3. Paper Mulberry is my FAVOURITE interiors blog. The images you show have soul, if that is possible. I saw the sitting room featured in this months Country Homes magazine, and fell in love. I think this style is here to stay, comfortable and comforting, easily adaptable to grand interiors and more humble settings. Tactile linens, delicious scented candles, a muted soothing colour palette. Just the sort of interiors we need to escape from the modern world for a while - and dream.

  27. Glenda,

This photos are right up my alley. I love the comfortable look and style of grain sacks when used to recover chairs and pillows. I also love to see table runners out of these as well.

I like the rustic chipped paint look pared with old books, vintage dishes, and comfortable leather chairs, somewhat worn from use.

    Gorgeous post!
