A summer breeze heady with honeysuckle and rose, wafts through an open window. The blackbird fills the warm air with song from his perch in the old apple tree. Life is languid and filled with endless sunny days in this idyllic English country cottage.

So utterly gorgeous I could weep. Just so you know I have a Vanessa Arbuthnot brochure out on the table in front of me and have just read (if that IS the word it is a very small book) essence of linen.

These are more dreamy than the Summer Cottage magazine I picked up this week by Southern Living. That last photo makes me want to begin stitching again. I learned how to stitch flowers just like the ones on that pillow when I was a young girl. I do love your blog!

In between 6 and 5, are those paints or wallpapers? Lovely colours!
ReplyDeleteSo girly and lovely. I am having a garden party in the summer and my chosen colour scheme is duckegg blue and dusky pink, so I shall be referring to this often for inspiration. Thankyou.I have a Cath Kidston book with the picture of the car seat covers in it, I think they look so gorgeous, your car would be a very different space if your seats looked like that! Love Linda x
ReplyDeleteOH i loved this post Glenda! Love that little girls room too!
ReplyDeleteThose thatched cottages are so beautiful.
I visited England as a small child and remember all these enchanting cottages. I hope to one day visit your beautiful country again!
