Christmas

Christmas: filled with branches of Blue Spruce, Rosemary, Eucalyptus and snow dusted pine conesdecorations in antiqued Mercury glass and shades of smokey grey; rich textures and contrasts of velvet ribbons, chalky candles and shimmering silver. Here are a few of my favourite finds...

  3. Vintage Christmas. There is something wonderful about the vintage glass and candlelight, gorgeous.
    I am still waiting for the Christmas spirit to take hold. The tree is going up next week and, as I unpack the decorations, I am sure the excitement will build.

  7. Hi Glenda They are all so very pretty and of course the little angel ! the elm silver candles are very elegant arent they .Hope you are enjoying the season and up to your eyes in mincepies ( jealous)
    they look so elegant mixed with the greens and ribbons

  18. Since fate brought your blog onto my virtual path, I've become a follower (albeit in lurking mode.) It's a learning experience not only in decoration but also in how to appreciate the muted tones of grey, verdigris, rusty ... and much much more ... I felt as if a switch has been turned on. Thank you very much for sharing these beautiful pictures, for bringing the luminosity of Christmas time to us.

  28. Oh, I've been waiting for this post! I knew you'd have the most beautiful collection of Christmas images to be found anywhere! I've already borrowed a few of the ideas, and sprayed my old pinecone wreath with snow, hung my mercury hearts, and tied a bow on my doorknob. Now I just need to find a cute little angel for my mantle! So precious!!
