Perfectly Pale

Balham House

The most heavenly white house. With it's pale chalky colour palette, impeccable styling & exquisite detailing this London home has to be as close to perfection as it gets!

Balham  House is the home and creation of interiors stylist Catherine Woram and her architect husband Michael Bains of White Architecture.

I'm so glad you think so too Signe! This has to be one of my absolute favourite decorating schemes, I think it shows perfectly that the owner is a stylist by profession!

Utterly gorgeous, the palest of colour schemes adds an ethereal quality to the rooms.

Dear Pamela you are very welcome! When I first saw the house a few years ago on a television programme called 'I own Britain's best home' I was captivated! It has remained an inspiration for our own decorating schemes and I am so pleased you feel the same. With your dreamy house I can image many of the ideas working oh so well! Warmest wishes - Glenda

This house is Stunning - my idea of a dream house! I could soooo see myself living here, i might have to make the kitchen a bit more vintagey though - it's beautiful - I just prefer my kitchens a bit more old style!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I want this home! You're an exceptional designer, I'm very impressed. The pale colors do such a great job of capturing the true beauty and elegance of the room, and you allow other objects to bring bursts of color to the room. I'm a Somerville interior painter and I absolutely love your blog. Keep the great posts coming our way!
