The French Country Kitchen

With soft chalky colours and rustic elements the kitchens found in the French Chateaux, cottages and farmhouses have long been a favourite source of interior inspiration for me. Here are a few of my favourites.

Just shut me in that first kitchen - absolute heaven. Mind you after a day like yesterday shut me and and leave me there!! Many thanks for your always generous comments.

The factory where they make Ian Mankin's fabrics is in this neck of the woods. I love his style. I keep waiting for them to open a factory shop. I wonder what happens to the 'seconds'.

I love this collection of style and colour - gorgeous. I am collecting linen swatches at the moment for the bedroom redo.

Wonderful inspiration list - what a good idea. I will have a look and then see something I like better than the choices I have made so far!! fairly typical.

Oh Susan, thank you so much! Actually I may confuse you even more, I am planning more French inspired posts for each room - more lovely linen to shop for!

These are so gorgeous - so light and airey. I can just imagine the light spring breeze infusing them with the light scents of lavender and herbs. Just beautiful!

Hello Glenda

Such beautiful kitchens.

My favorite image collage would have to be the one focused on grey. I know that many people would find grey a dull and lifeless palette, but for me it is calming, discreet, classical and very easy to combine with complimentary and contrasting colours.

Thank you for your very kind comments on my blog.

Anna

It is very rare to find such eye candy old style kitchens. Today people are more into modern furnishing but I still love old style furnishings. And I love that garlic band :D
