The Romantic French Bedroom

Heavenly billowing drapes, rustic linen, fresh crisp white cotton, decadent silk and velvet combine with ornate crystal chandeliers and antique gilt furniture for the most romantic styling. Simple shades of putty, dove and chalk create a restful, elegant palette for any bedroom. Whilst rich tones of damson, verdigris & olive add drama and decadence.

As luck would have it the first bedroom is exactly the colours chosen for ours - I am adding duck egg blue accents.

Will reveal all when I have painted the furniture.

Will borrow a few ideas!

I can't wait for the next in the series you are helping me decorate my house!

I can almost imagine spending the night in one of these beautiful bedrooms. Then, being woken in the morning by the servants bringing warm french pastries and coffee.

My own bedroom indulgence is good white bedlinen. There may be a little lace trim or a ribbon piping, but otherwise it will be pure white linen or cotton. I hate those stretchy bottom sheets and non-iron synthetic duvet covers. Call it my Marie Antoinette weakness.
