Interior Paint Shades - Soft Neutrals part 1

Soft, neutral paint shades create a calm environment for all areas of the home. Contemporary tones inspired by nature are offset against natural textures and pure white. A tranquil palette of mist, fog, putty, taupe, grey and pebble. Here are a few of my favourite decorating ideas and suggested paints to try.

Stunning selection of such soft neautral colours! I keep your blog and this post in particular for my future reference - our newly built house. I think such calm and natural colours will be a perfect base for the interior giving enough field for colourful details.
Thank you for inspiration Glenda, and have a lovely week ahead.

Hi! The stories you tell are so sweet and beautiful! In your post on your farmhouse there is a two handed oven mitt that is a light blue gray check? Where is this from? I love

I love and live with these soothing colors. My entry and halls are painted a color called "Urban Putty" by Sherwin Williams and get a lot of compliments on it.

Great inspiration here! I hope you're enjoying fall and your new home.

Keri

Thank you so much! Keri your entrance hall sounds gorgeous - Urban Putty a great name for a paint shade!!! Hi Tracy, the oven mitt is in colour way "cobble" and is from an English company called Walton and Co and the range is called Auberge (http://www.notrunofthemill.com/walton-co-auberge-double-oven-glove-cobble.ir?cName=home-garden-kitchen-oven-gloves) - you can see more pictures here: http://thepapermulberry.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/500-year-old-farmhouse-full-of-french.html

This is a beautifully soft collection of tones. I love it all. Wish we could get some of these colors in the U.S. I think Farrow and Ball is, but not the others. I don't think you'd be sick of any of these ever.
