Wonderful pictures, I like it all!
Some wonderful images here and thank you for the links. Soothing chalky colour ways, simple and effective styling, it always works.
oh my really an inspiring post. Thank you so much!
The rain is driving down here, the sky is grey, all is gloom. Then as I read some blog posts up you popped and my spirits lifted in an instant.
How gorgeous the images are, cleansing and calming in equal measure, interiors to languish in and savour.
inspiring post!

Glenda...so beautiful, I feel more relaxed and calmer just having looked at this fabulos post!
Hi Glenda,
I love all of the images.
The chalky colours are so stylish, and the simple decoration give the rooms great calmness.
Hope you have a lovely day.

Hey Glenda, I've been looking forward to your post!! It is gorgeous. That first image is divine. Love this look! I love the slightly rough plaster, weathered wood and linen. It's very Belgian-ey - would you consider it Belgian style?? I would love those handmade industrial lights in my kitchen. sigh!

Glenda, this is my preferred palette and I would have our entire apartment in it save for a few pieces that we can't afford to change that really don't work with this soft tone. I have put all of those in one room at least!
So needless to say I loved the post, thank you!
These are the colors and style I feel most comfortable in. I could not help but think of Tricia Rose's Rough Linens...they would fit right in here. She hand sews all her bedding, curtains, tableclothes, pillows. I have to add that in all this loveliness your sitting room on the sidebar is what popped out and caught my attention most! ox
These are amazingly beautiful and serene spaces. Full of texture. So different from anything I ever encounter. But it certainly makes me want to. I love the sublety.
Absolutely stunning! Soft and calming colors. I would love to have an entire house in these colors, the furniture and all the accessories! One can only dream!
Thank you so much for such lovely messages and a particular thank you to Kerrie of Sea Cottage for the compliments about our sitting room! Oh and I agree Sharon I adore the "Belgian look" ever since seeing it featured on the wonderful Belgian Pearls blog! Warmest of wishes - Glenda xxx
Wow Stella! You have a beautiful house, and all those inspiring pictures..!

I was thinking about you yesterday when I watched 'Downtown Abbey' on TV. I love to see the kitchen downstairs! Do you love it?

another lovely post - definitely lots of photos to inspire my next home. Thank you for putting together a gorgeous mood board x
Rough Linen IS in there! Thank you Glenda, I was looking through the photos admiring all the textures, coveting them to go with my linens, and suddenly there they were.
(I now want to make simple leather handles held with a cross stitch, I don't know what for, but I'll find something)
Hello Glenda
You have won me over with this colour scheme. I love the rustic linen. I also love handsewing fine fabrics. Truly beautiful.
